How do we run your web project?

1. We design a solution to suit your requirements
With the support of our consultants and engineers we analyse your objectives and the different requirements that need to be taken into consideration before the sale. From this analysis, completed if necessary by a web audit, we create a project proposal that includes the following points:
- Choice of the most suitable CMS tool (content management) and description of the features to be integrated or developed;
- Creation of an initial graphic design approach for planning out the style of you future website;
- Design of an information architecture and a navigation strategy suited to the type of site being produced;
- Estimation of the budget and time required to carry out the project, with different milestones.
2. We plan out and prepare your project right down to the smallest details
When you accept our project proposal and after we have taken into consideration you comments, we produce:
- a technical specification that lists the IT developments on which your solution will rely;
- a project quality plan ("PQP") that stipulates the commitments required by each party to ensure that the project runs smoothly.
3. When we hand over your website it is ready to use
Each project combines, in proportions that depend on the each specific project, the integration of the content management tool (CMS) and the development of custom features.
Integration of the CMS tool
The general principle is to configure the selected CMS by setting its features or plug ins, as well as the graphical templates that automatically creates a page layout when inserting content.
Custom developments
To respond to a particular requirement, plug ins often need to be modified or developed. An IT development is therefore necessary, leading to the creation of a precise, customised application that contributes to the enhancement of free tools and communities that support most of our projects.
Content insertion, testing and acceptance testing
Creating a website is not just about delivery an IT tool! In fact, all our websites are "ready to use" when you receive them: texts and images have been integrated and we check with you that the tool runs in accordance with our specifications.
4. We train your web managers
Your content management system is only useful if your teams can use it easily and are able to make use of all its possibilties, from the occasional user to the site administrator. To make sure you get the most out of your system, with the delivery of each project we include:
- specific documentation about your content management solution;
- one or more training sessions on how to use the "back-end" tool that doesn't require any prior technical knowledge.
5. We remain in close contact and are availabe to carry out any development
Regardless of specific project guarantees, Smile is proud to carry out, as part of a partnerships approach, changes and developments to its projects. You still however are at liberty to call on an employee or another service provider. In fact, the website and the tool supporting it are your property : we supply the complete source codes.
